ClintonFitch.com, a Microsoft MVP in Mobile Device, has posted its Top 10 Windows Mobile Apps picks for 2008. I would say that I would agree with almost half of them - and would certainly agree that Spb Mobile Shell 2.0 deserves the top spot. It’s really excellent software - if you don’t have it, get it!

The weather on a mobile device is by far the best way to absorb that type of information. The worst is having to watch television for your news broadcast. It takes ages for your city to show up, and the weatherman feels the need to fill your head with useless statistics like “northerly winds are crossing the Canadian shield with a slight humidity patch.”
Weather 1.2 by VITO Technology is available for free. The app features a an icon called Winterface, which will display either the current temperature or weather condition so you can know either at a glance. Weather 1.2 can display the weather for up to 10 cities and requires simple swiping gestures on the screen to move from one city to the next. Additional cities are only three taps away.
