The relatively unheard of Pantech Duo 2 has made its first appearance on the FCC database. And, as often is the case, some unnamed someone was there to snap some high-resolution pictures of the shiny new device for us to oogle!
Sadly, it seems that the shiny bit is one of the only improvements over the original Pantech Duo: QWERTY, dual band 850/1900, GSM/EDGE/WCDMA (supports AT&T’s 3G network), 2MP camera (with video capture), Bluetooth, microSD… nothing new, really but Windows Mobile 6.1.

Pandora Radio is the incredibly popular streaming radio program that makes intelligent guesses as to what songs you would like to hear based on preferences. The software was supposed to come embedded with the new LG Incite on AT&T, but a few Incite owners have said this isn’t the case. It could be that the promotion was prematurely made public before carriers could load the software. Stay tuned because Pandora will be available to download for other devices in the near future.

WMExperts have put the Palm Treo Pro up against the AT&T Fuze to see who comes out the champion and it looks like the AT&T Fuze won by the mere skin of its teeth, as the saying goes.
So, how do these two devices measure up to each other?
Here’s the breakdown of their specs:

LetsTalk offers a wide variety of phones and deals but this deal has to be the best on the market. You can get two new AT&T Windows Mobile devices both for free. The AT&T Fuze (HTC Touch Pro) and Samsung Epix are each available free after rebate with a two-year service agreement. The LetsTalk discount is around $150. Although the phones aren’t currently available, you can sign up and lock yourself into the agreement. I’m sure it won’t be long before they get more in stock. Oh yeah, and the devices come with a free 2GB microSD memory card.

It’s about time! The LG Incite, which was announced over a month ago, is finally showing up on AT&T’s website - in stock and ready to be snatched up!
Sure, it might be bad timing for AT&T to release such a hyped device in the same week as Verizon Wireless launches their much hyped device - the BlackBerry Storm. But I would argue that it’s a great time to show what Windows Mobile has up their sleeve.
The LG Incite is available for $299 with a $100 mail-in rebate (Visa gift card) - not bad at all!

Last we heard the AT&T HTC Fuze aka the HTC Touch Pro, was spotted in the AT&T stores but not officially confirmed. Well today is the day it gets official. The device is surely going to have some decent sales being the successor of the TyTN II, or a Diamond with a side-sliding QWERTY keyboard. It has similar specs to the latter, including VGA display, WiFi, GPS and 580 MHz Processor. The device will run you $299.99 after a $50 mail-in-rebate.

It appears that the AT&T Fuze (HTC Touch Pro) will finally see the light of day on Tuesday, November 11th. This very - very - sexy phone will be a big hit, there’s no doubt about it. And at $299.99 it’ll sell like hotcakes. Mmm hotcakes with TouchFLO 3D.

Rumour has it that the AT&T Fuze (that’s the AT&T version of the Touch Pro) will start shipping out to stores some time in the next two weeks. BGR is saying that it’s targeted for a release near Black Friday.
The Fuze is said to be going for $349.99 with a 2-year contract and data plan.

Looks like AT&T will be getting some top notch Samsung phones - including one of our reader favourites, the Omnia. Also on the list for possible AT&T releases is the much rumoured BlackJack III and the SGH-A767 Sangria.
If the rumours are correct, these phones will make an appearance in late October. Let’s keep our fingers crossed!

I have used the Howard's Forum solution for internet PC tethering however about 2 days after making the changes whenever I just want to surf the net on my BJ II I now get a 403 Access Forbidden error msg. If I power the phone off and turn it on it allows me to surf for about 1 to 2 days before giving me that error again. When I called AT$T they had me change some settings and that fixed the problem but broke my tethering capability. I reinstalled the Howard's Forum solution and got tethering back but now again have the 403 problem again. Any help would be apprciated.
Wow, Bruno - that's awful! A real Touch Diamond would have been nice, heh, but a fake one?! Especially when you're actually expecting the BB Storm! Though, from what I'm hearing, the Storm isn't the greatest device. But I haven't seen it myself so I can't say for sure. What did you end up doing with the fake phone? How much did you pay? I'm sorry you had such a rough time - I feel for ya!
I didn't listened my friends and I just both 2 blackberry storm from china (by mail). It was a surprise when I opened the box and discovered that the mobile sent to me was the HTC TOUCH DIAMOND. A bigger surprise was the discovering that it was not a HTC but a clone. In other worlds, I should listen more to my friends. No windows mobile, no e-mail, just a piece of sh.....
Couldn't send emails any more no matter what I tried so I downloaded and installed the patch. So far: I lost all of my email accounts; tried to set them up again, but when I used the same name for the account, I got stopped by an alert that said that name was already being used by another account; I picked a new name for the account and completed the setup, after I hit finish, it jumped to the Outlook account that had previously existed and the new account was not listed under mail accounts; tried this a couple of times; Did a hard reset, erasing all of my data, which isn't a big deal I have had to do hard resets so often lately there isn't much there; After the reboot, I set up the accounts successfully, the device randomly powers off; It is now frozen with a solid green colored screen, which I can do nothing about, it won't even turn off, I am on hold now with my provider's tech support. This is my experience so far with the Windows Mobile 6.1 upgrade and the SMTP patch Dan
