AOL has just announced the availability of AOL Sync for beta testing!
AOL Sync allows users to sync up Microsoft Outlook and their AOL Calendar and Address Book with a wide range of mobile devices, including (and, of course, most importantly) Windows Mobile!
It offers two-way “over the air” synchronization so users can make real-time updates to their calendar and list of contacts over the cell network.
The new service is powered by open source mobile push email and sync provider, Funambol. Having recently redesigned and opened up its home page, AOL continues to turn to openness and open source for mobile sync.
AOL Sync is device- and carrier-independent, meaning AOL users can now leverage the open MobileWe capabilities from Funambol and its world-leading mobile developer community to sync their calendar and contacts with more than 1.5 billion devices worldwide.
