I haven't heard much in the way of trash talk either these days (well, plenty about the Sprint Touch Pro but not anything about the Xperia X1).

Fingers crossed!

It does always make me a bit irritated to read that a device is fully capable of something but requires an unofficial hack to make it work.  Grrr.

Not too surprised to see this, but nonetheless glad it works. Separating UI from OS makes it much easier to move software around. Of course the companies hate that, but hey.

Haven't heard a lot of stability issues lately from the new owners, feeling cautiously optimistic.

The good folks over at XDA-Developers have created a hack that brings full TouchFLO 3d capabilities to the Sony Ericsson Xperia X1! TouchFLO 3d on the Xperia means a more finger-friendly UI, YouTube usability and a ton of other awesome enhancements.

If you’re an Xperia user, I suggest heading over to the XDA-Developers thread now and downloading this for yourself!
