If you’re into languages, travel a lot or simply want to converse with someone in another language, a mobile translator is a great piece of software. You can download a free translator by Wolf, which uses the Google Translate engine to provide translations. Click through for the download link and install instructions
It’s like spotting a unicorn! You always wanted to believe knew it existed, but you’d just never seen one… but here it is! Taiwanese site ePrice has pictures of the white HTC Touch Diamond up. Now, I normally hate the look of white electronics and gadgets - I’m a black/metal fan (the finish/coat kind not the headbanging air guitarist kind) but I must say - it looks pretty cool in white.
It’s time for the fourth edition of WindowsMobile Cool’s sister site round up featuring the best of this week at BlackBerry Cool, the voice of the BlackBerry community!
Pocketnow has posted the above video of their software tour of the AT&T Fuze. According to them, the Fuze comes with a lot of extra trial-ware games and doesn’t come with Windows Live or Windows Live Messenger. Hrmm. That’s no good! But it does save a bit of grace, apparently, in that it includes an SMS based IM client that does log in to AIM, Y!, and MSN.
Be sure to check out the above video for the full run down of the AT&T Fuze’s software!
And I’ll let you in on a little secret too — Outside of the USA and tired of seeing that awful message: “This content is not viewable outside of the USA”? Well it appears that you won’t get that message if you’re on your Windows Mobile phone!
Trust me, this Canadian girl can’t get enough of Hulu.com now!
The QiJi i6, is not only the world’s most awkawdly named device, it is also a device that supports dual operating systems. I think the idea of dual operating systems is almost a pipe dream. Have you tried parallels? It’s great in theory but in practice it makes your computer slower than my grandmother without her walker. The device is sporting a 624MHz processor, 256MB of ROM, 128MB of RAM, a trackball, and on-screen keyboard. What 2 OS’s would you use?
The Pharos is a Windows Mobile powered Traveler by Dell. The Traveler 619 has a 2.8-inch VGA touchscreen, full QWERTY keyboard, 2-megapixel camera, 3.5G support, a quad-band GSM / GPRS / EDGE radio, Windows Mobile 6, Bluetooth / WiFi, IrDA and the battery will last 4 hours. The GPS enabled-smartphone costs $199.95.

TELUS has a section of their website where you can input your favorite elements of a mobile device and it will tell you what the best device is for what you want. What’s really funny about it is that they took the “monkey and a typewriter” theme but changed it to “meerkat and change-o-tron.” So I wanted to see what phone they would give me if I just turned all the settings to full blast. After a long Rube Goldberg experience, you get a suggestion. TELUS recommended me the HTC Touch Pro. Woohoo!
Bambi Blue on the post SkyFire mobile browser updated to 0.8.5: The browser does hiccup a bit from time to time on my device but I would put the blame squarely on my device in that case (it's geriatric, heh).
I'm a big fan of the browser, even besides flash and all that. It's got a really useful home screen, a great bookmarking layout, and the zoom and view functions are the best I've seen.
