Top 5: Best Twitter applications for Windows Mobile

I love Twitter. There’s no secret there. While I’m on the go (which seems to be most times) I use my Windows Mobile phone to tweet to the world. If you’re like me - a total tweet addict - you’ll absolutely want to check out my top 5 best Twitter applications for your Windows Mobile phone. There are some really great ones in there that you shouldn’t miss out on!

Here it is:

ceTwit

1. ceTwit - This app uses the .net compact framework. It features timeline display (both merged and filtered), account storage (it remembers you every time!), status updates, direct messages, click to reply, auto refresh, avatars in timeline (with local caching), relative timestamps, follow/unfollow, Twitpic support, ping.fm support, audible/vibrate alerts, and retweeting. This is the Twitter client that I use on my phone because I use Twitpic and Ping.fm often. I also love the user interface of this app - very quick and easy to use.

2. Twitter Answers - This really cool app lets you to Tweet questions and get answers. Like Yahoo Answers but for Twitter, powered by Mosio.

3. GPS Twit - This app, for the iPhone and Windows Mobile, makes it easy for your friends to find you. GPS Twit answers the question, “Where are you and what are you doing?” by polling your GPS and posting it to the front of your tweets.

4. Quakk - This is an Open Source WinMo Twitter app. If you’re the kind that can, you can get your greedy mitts on the source code here and make your own mobile Twitter app!

5. TwitToday - A free Twitter widget that allows you to post updates from your device’s Today screen.

You know, I like TinyTwitter - for sure - I just didn’t really find it to be that remarkable, really. Maybe I should take a look at it again!

Quakk is pretty great, you’re right. But have you seen GPS Twit and Twitter Answers? Awesome!

Id like to give my responses to a few of your pics.

ceTwit was my main application for twitter. But after I used it for a bit, I couldn’t figure out why my cell didn’t ring and or get my notifications.. Through trials I narrowed it down to, when I launched the app used it ad exited out, I’ve no sound. Found a ez and temp fix ‘’soft reset” But when in a rush and only had time to twit-n-run I Most def didn’t have time for a ‘’soft reset” or at times miss a call.. So I searched other apps..

TwitToday I liked, now I used that for a fly-by-tweet. Tweet n check when I had time.. Pocktwit didn’t care for :(

TinyTwit im sure I used for a real quick hot min, but didn’t care for it, hence not remembering much bout it..

Now on to one app Im going to highly recommend! ShoZu…. ShoZu…. believe the url is http://www.shozu.com Awesome, Awesome! I call this my all in one app for all. I use it for Twitter, Twitpic , Facebook, Photobucket and a few others. You can use it for your choice of program. Twitter– You get recent tweets, your replied tweets and you can set your status… One feature I love is uploading to Twitpic… Set a detailed discription of pic or one word your choice and it uploads to twitpic… I use ShoZu, and you should to! (lol feel like a poet and didn’t even know it) Only feature I didn’t like was but no fault of ShoZu is didn’t upload bipimage. That would fall on to Twitpic.. But beings that Facebook does, I use ShoZu as my primary all in one app for what I need it to.. Can’t ask for more than that out of an app. I stand by ShoZu 900% and if you give it a try I know you will too. Try ShoZu and le
me know your thoughts… you can tweet me at twitter.com/claudiamaccloud love to know what you think… and hey if you think you found a better app I’d be willing to not use ShoZu on a trial basis only… Why a trial you may ask? Because I know there isn’t anything out there that is!

Have a great Xmas and a very safe New Years!
