Free Windows Mobile mobile translator by Wolf at WindowsMobile Cool

If you’re into languages, travel a lot or simply want to converse with someone in another language, a mobile translator is a great piece of software. You can download a free translator by Wolf, which uses the Google Translate engine to provide translations.

In order to run the program, .Net Compact Framework 3.5 has to be installed on the device.

The software will translate all the same languages that Google can including: Arabic, Bulgarian, Catalan, Chinese, Chinese Simplified, Chinese Traditional, Croatian, Czezh, Danish, Dutch, English, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Hebrew, Hindi, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Latvian, Lithuanian, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Serbian, Slovak, Slovenian, Spanish, Swedish, Tagalog, Ukrainian, Vietnamese.

The software has also gone version 1.1 which includes the following upgrades:

Fixed the “Autodetect” label bug

Moved the “Cancel” menu item over the “Translate” menu item when processing a request

“Set Default Languages” - saves the current language combination and restores it when application starts

“Configure Language Set” - if you only want to use 3 or 4 languages yo may select a subset of the languages supported by the application to be shown in the interface

The browser does hiccup a bit from time to time on my device but I would put the blame squarely on my device in that case (it's geriatric, heh). I'm a big fan of the browser, even besides flash and all that. It's got a really useful home screen, a great bookmarking layout, and the zoom and view functions are the best I've seen.

Until they make a phone that cooks me dinner, I don't care that I can run my greasy fingers all over its interface. HOWEVER, if I was Microsoft, I would take a financial stake in every company in the world right now. Good time for cheap deals, I'm sure.
